Logitech G400 Replaces the MX518

Logitech has been king of the hill in gaming mice thanks to the MX518–a mouse has been popular for a very long time now. It has made a name for itself as gaming mouse, and Logitech has now announced the next model to replace the MX518. The G400 looks to be a safe bet in terms of design, as it basically looks exactly like its predecessor. It has received some improvements inside though.

Logitech G400

MX518 recognized your hand movements at 1800 dpi. The G400 doubles that number to 3600 dpi, so you can make larger on-screen swipes with the mouse without moving your hand much. You can set the sensitivity between 400, 800, 1800 and 3600 dpi directly on the mouse like with the MX518.

Logitech has also increased the refresh rate from 125 reports per second to 1000. According to Logitech, this is as much data you can send with a USB cable, and it will make the experience as free from lag as possible. The cord is also 25 percent lighter this time, as well as thinner.

Logitech’s G400 will be released in the U.S. in June, while the rest of the world will have to wait until July. The price will be landing at $50, which is about the same as the MX518.
