Corsair is mostly known for its memory modules and lately SSDs, but the company is now entering the accessory market with a couple of high-end gaming mice.
Corsair did release the headset HS1 a year ago, but now the manufacturer has launched even more products–mainly targeted at gamers. The products in their “Vengance” series are branded as exclusive enthusiast products.
The M60 gaming mouse is intended for those who play a lot of first person shooter games. It is a laser mouse with low response time, and the sensor, developed specifically for the Corsair, has a resolution of 5700 DPI. The body is constructed of aluminum, and as is often the case with gaming mice, it can be adjusted with a set of weights to get that perfect feel to it by shifting the mouse’s center of gravity.
The mouse also has six buttons that you can program as you see fit, in addition to a scroll wheel. On the left you will find a red “sniper” button. With this you can simply switch between different resolutions and thus adjust eh mouse’s sensitivity. Such settings and many others can be controlled using Corsair’s own software that comes with the purchase.

While the M60 is intended for those who play FPS games, its big brother the M90 is designed for a different audience, namely gamers who play MMORPGs and RTS games such as World and Warcraft and Total War. The M90 has no less than 15 programmable buttons. According to Corsair, these are placed on the most optimal locations in terms of comfort and accessibility, based on the experiences of professional gamers.
The buttons will also be slightly more stiff, so you can rest your fingers on them without pressing the button by mistake, but they are still supple enough to to react quickly when you need them. Additionally, it has a built in memory of 48 MB, to ensure that you can store six different profiles on the mouse, to quickly and easily carry your personal settings from once computer to another. M90 has a sensor with a 5700 DPI resolution just like the M60 and is also built around a shell of aluminum.
The two mice will appear on the market in October. The M60 has an expected retail price of $79, while the M90 will cost $ 99.
