In April, Samsung unveiled the world’s first Blu-ray player with 3D support, the BD-C6900. It supports the industry standard for 3D and can be connected to all 3D-ready TVs that abide by this standard. The first BD-C6900 units from Samsung should be available in stores in April.
It’s not just a matter of hooking it up and watch things pop out at you obviously. To view 3D movies you need a 3D-ready TV and 3D goggles. Samsung’s player has to be paired up with a TV that supports the 3D standard and has HDMI 1.4.

It can also play back regular Blu-ray and DVD discs of course, and also supports Samsung’s Internet @tv platform for Samsung Apps. With BD-C6900 connected to the Internet – wirelessly or via cable – you can watch YouTube videos and other stuff without hooking up a computer.
