It has now been more than 25 years since Alexey Pajitnov, on a whim, wrote his own minimalist little puzzle game based on moving around some oddly shaped square blocks. Nowadays it happens to be the world’s most popular game in just about every category and you can play it on anything from cell phones to the latest gaming consoles.

Sure, there are lots of other great games, but the likelihood of Call of Duty 4 inspiring furniture design 25 years from now feels doubtful. Tetris on the other hand, has done so on several occasions including this amusing armchair. It will probably be highly sought-after by geeks everywhere.

To be perfectly honest the Tetris chair by designer Gabriel Cañas doesn’t look overly comfortable, but it’s still Tetris and should go well with the rest of your geeky furnishings. Strangely it seems to lack the all-important square block.
